Nothing new here!

I hesitated buying this because I have several books promoting the raw food lifestyle already now I wish I hadn't spent the money. It is overpriced. There is no new info here. He is energetically motivational and may be good for people just starting into raw foods. Most of the info is found for free on the internet already. I guess if the price were lower it may be worth it. Just not worth the money.

Shocking advice

What do you get when you mix pseudo science with hippie propaganda? Heal Yourself 101. Overall I like the book. I've read other nutrition books like "Navy Seal Nutrition" and "The Abs Diet" and "The Harvard Guide to Nutrition" but none were nearly as controversial as this. I'm glad I bought it and I think even the most avid dieter or researcher will learn something. A lot of the claims I would take with a grain of salt. He tells you to always eat raw food because cooking kills nutrients, humans are herbivores and get a colonic. The controversy arrives when he recommends we eat grass like a cow, clean our butts with garlic to kill parasites and eat weeds growing in sidewalk cracks. Is it worth $30? No, I don't believe so. But definitely $15-$20. Some paragraphs have a lack of focus and it will frustrate the reader that just wants facts and advice without fluff. Papaya was recommended to me on three different pages so the repetition and editing could use some work. I think the author is a spiritual man and eccentric character that warrants some interest. I also think people will be googling a lot of advice in this book just to see if he is a revolutionary or a nut job. Buy this book if you don't care about $30 and none of the conventional diet or nutrition standards are working for you.

Update, a year later I raise my review from 3 to 4 stars. Primarily because I've heard a few "insane" claims corroborated by medical and or nutrition experts. Also check out Markus Rothkranz on youtube. He has a few recipe videos I literally use every week.

I have a regular ebook format, not the kindle format, as I bought this book well over a year ago.

This book is like the bible for raw food, happiness, health, and more. It covers all of the basics about restoring your body to it's natural healthy state.

I constantly re-read this book to keep myself on the path of staying healthy.

Where this book lacks in proper grammar sometimes, it makes up for it with clear passion and it is very easy to understand!

This book is in my personal top ten, and it is the #1 book I recommend to friends that want to learn more about this lifestyle.

Brilliant work. I had no idea my IRA could do those things. Great primer for self-directed IRAs

This attorney/author really knows his stuff. I love my accountant, but after having read this, I think it

may be time for a new one.....I guess since I make more money than he does, he really didn't go out of his

way to help me 'do it right' from the beginning. A great eye opener. Sometimes you just have to take the time

to educate yourself. I have no one to blame but myself... Anyway....A must read at any net worth level.

Book is worth it's weight in gold, just have to sit your self down with some Starbucks and start thinking outside the box.

This is a fantastic book! You cannot beat this price for the amount of information received. As an investor, I have been interested in learning about investing through an IRA and this book clearly explains the pros and cons for me. I learned so much from one book!

I have read other books by Mr. Bronchick and they have helped me make serious returns on my investments. With his advice, my latest real estate sale made me over $150k. I highly recommend this book, in addition to his various books on real estate investing and flipping. His direct, no BS approach is easy to understand. Great read!!

Grade 3 Up. Once readers get past the opening scene filled with truly annoying children asking their Sunday School teacher repetitive questions about the Christmas story, a surprisingly touching tale emerges. This retelling of O. Henry's "The Gift of the Magi" is set in the present-day, rural South. Rebecca, the Sunday School teacher, is a hairdresser and her husband, Fenton, is a car mechanic and part-time carpenter. Times are hard, and neither one has been earning enough money to buy the other a Christmas gift that's exactly right. Rebecca sells her mother's prized quilt in order to buy her husband a tool chest, while he sells his beloved tools to buy her a chest for her quilt. As in the original story, the characters react with love, understanding, and optimism when the discovery is made on Christmas morning. Moser's illustrations, rendered in transparent watercolors on handmade paper, look almost as though they were painted on brown wrapping paper. The artist succeeds in giving these illustrations vitality and depth despite their lack of color, while the brown tone that permeates them underlines the rustic setting. While accessible to young people, this story is one that is more appreciated by adults.

An illustrated reworking of O. Henry's ``The Gift of the Magi,'' set in present-day Appalachia. The struggling newlyweds are Fenton, an auto mechanic who is acquiring his own set of Snap-on tools, at the rate of one piece at a time, and Rebecca, a hairdresser and Sunday school teacher whose prized possession is a quilt that was a wedding present from her late mother. Fenton sells his tools to buy an antique chest for the quilt, but Rebecca has sold it to buy her husband a toolbox. Moser retains both the sweetness and the irony of O. Henry's story; the only jarring notes occur in some of the characters' names and in the region's speech patterns, which are overdone to the point of caricature. For the masterly illustrations, Moser works in watercolor on brown paper, keeping the pictures nearly monochromatic but for subdued touches of red, green, and blue. One of the best ABSITE question books out there

The Hopkins ABSITE review manual is one of the best ABSITE question books I have ever used. The only other book that is comparable is DeVirgilio's question book. The only thing I don't like about this book is that the questions are not separated into different topics (like DeVirgilio's is), but that is intentional, since it's supposed to be a full length practice test. The answers are incredibly thorough, and even provide references! I think I only came across one typo, and it was only that the letter of the correct answer was incorrect (but the answer clearly explained which was correct). I just wish this book had more questions, as it is clear that a tremendous amount of effort was put into it. I have read many other review books, and they are full of typos and outdated answers.

good practice questions
By hot doc
I didn't read the book, only did the online questions. In general, the questions are good but some answers are wrong. I guess it's the nature of medicine (there are no CORRECT answers to some topics). Overall, very good questions. I got 65% correct, but I don't know how it will correlate with my ABSITE score. Wish me good luck.

I got the Personal Power Program through ebay after seeing Tony's infomercial. This is MUCH more than motivation, huggy-touchy-feely type stuff. If you want fluff and hot air, this isn't it.

If you want meat and potatoes of how to run your brain, how to direct for energy and effort. This is for you. Tony' program shows you how to control your brain. I have some high goals in life and instead of working my butt off to achieve them and then feel good afterwards. I have a GREAT TIME achieving them. Not just at the finish line but DURING THE ENTIRE PROCESS.

If you know what needs to get done but can't seem to find the motivation to do them on a regular basis, then this is for you. Can't follow through? Seem to run out of steam before you get to the finish line? Putting things off? Want to enjoy the process of accomplishing things? Want to get rid of bad habits? Want to get some new habits that will empower you?

Those are the things I used this program for. Like I said before this isn't hype or a 'just think positive' type of stuff.

There has been some controversy about Tony....I don't know about that stuff. All I know is that by using his techniques life has been abundant and FUN !!!!!!!

Anthony Robbins delivers a powerful motivational punch with "Personal Power: A 30 Day Program"!!! If you are ready to change, to commit, and are not afraid to work then this is the program for you to change your life and achieve just about anything!
The program consist on 12 cassette tapes. You are to listen to one side of each tape a day starting on a Monday. Then for the weekends you listen to tapes 11 & 12: "Program yourself for Total Success". After you listen to each days session Tony gives you an assignment. You are to do your assignment before continuing with the next session. You do this Monday through Friday for 4 weeks. You start with simple assignments and as days pass, assignments become more complex. Soon you find yourself doing what you thought impossible!
If you are serious and committed this is the system for you to change your life, but if you are not then don't even bother buying it!
