Great read.

I loved this book. It teaches actual methods you can apply in your own life if you struggle with OCD. And actually I applied some of the methods for my anxiety as well. Also it's a great read for those who do not suffer with OCD if you want to know what it is like.
Although this book is written by a professional, you should not substitute this for professional help if you need it.
Remember there is no shame in seeking help it's actually a very brave thing to do, a lot of people are going through the same thing and can help.
These views are only my personal opinion and what works for one doesn't always work for the next.

This Book Is A Life-Changing Tool 6 Stars

Simply put: I will never be the same again. I have suffered from OCD since I was 13 and at the age of 26, I can say that this book gave me the tools to break out of hell. I am now a free man. I make my own choices without the fear that OCD brought me. I have been using the 4 steps for 4 years now. I have learned to use it on other problems in my life as well. Today, it not only helps me with my OCD suffering, but suffering in general. I love this 4-step Brain Lock method so much and I only hope that everyone with OCD can read this book. I know that it gave me the tools to work out of my OCD and ultimately out of suffering.

Absolutely the Best Thing That's Ever Happened to Me!

I was diagnosed with severe OCD when I was 5 years old, and have been dealing with it ever since. The biggest brekathrough in therapy came when I started seeing a psychiatrist at 13, and she recommended this book. At the time, I sat down with the book and a highlighter, and read every word, highlighting the parts that were the most relevant to me. Without a doubt, "Brain Lock" saved my life. Following these steps allowed me to get my life back. While doing the steps was and still is the hardest thing I've ever committed to, it works.
The book uses real life examples of people who have been through treatment, and explains things in a simple enough way that you can grasp the concepts without having to over-think what you're looking at.
I'm 31 years old, and over the years have read it cover to cover many times, and when I'm having a setback, I still read the highlights. I also have it on kindle for iphone so I'm never without a copy. The book is meant to be used in conjunction with exposure response prevention and/or medication, but I found that it also works wonders on its own. I would absolutely recommend to anyone that is struggling with OCD. I will never be without a copy of Brain Lock.
